For all of our complaints about the shenanigans, monkeyshines, and dingalingery (SMD) that goes on in our synod - especially liturgically - there is reason to be upbeat and hopeful.

In a recent post, I pointed out that sometimes there is a superfluous ritual of laying on of hands during installation services. This one goes even further by including a lay participant in the rite of manual imposition.
